Overcoming Educated Incapacity Template
Overcoming Educated Incapacity Template
Educated Incapacity is knowing so much about what you know that you are the last to know that things are changing. Prior to any successful foresight or strategic planning effort, it is critical to overcome educated incapacity to fully leverage the disruptions and opportunities available.
In this exercise, participants discuss the assumptions, constants, and indisputable facts when it comes to the future of their organization or industry, as a large group or in teams. Afterward, hold a productive conversation about “Educated Incapacity” and the importance of challenging our assumptions and biases by “Learning, Unlearning, and Relearning.”
Included in the template are facilitation notes, the template, debrief questions, and additional resources.
